PNGC Power Wins Regional and National Communications Awards
PNGC Power's 2001 advertising campaign generates recognition from leading industry associations
Portland, Ore. - 07/24/2002 - PNGC Power, a Portland-based electric power services company, recently received awards for their 2001 advertising campaign from both the national Council of Rural Electric Communicators (CREC) and the Northwest Public Power Association (NWPPA). PNGC Power's campaign included print and radio advertising, and focused on branding and energy conservation messages. The campaign was created in conjunction with Portland advertising agency Gard & Gerber.
CREC's 2002 Spotlight on Excellence Awards Program recognizes top-rated communications by electric cooperatives and related organizations. Out of nearly 700 entries nationwide, PNGC Power received an award of merit - one of only two awards given in the category of best advertising campaign.
In the NWPPA's 2002 Excellence in Communication Awards Competition - which recognizes NWPPA member utilities that have created innovative and effective communications programs - PNGC Power won both first and second place for two radio spots as well as second and third place for two print ads. There were nearly 500 entries from around the region.
