PNGC Power Hires New Power Planning Manager
Portland, Ore. - 02/03/2003 - PNGC Power, a Portland-based wholesale electric power cooperative, has hired Tom Haymaker as power planning manager. Haymaker manages - power forecasting, market analyses, contracts and energy trading in the forward wholesale power markets typically 30 to 180 days ahead of when the electricity will be needed by customers of PNGC Power's 15 member/owner systems.
"Tom's a valuable addition to our operations team," said president and CEO Patrick Reiten. "He brings years of experience as well as a fresh perspective that will help us continue providing innovative solutions to our members and their customers."
Haymaker worked as a power marketing and operations manager for Duke Energy for the last six years, splitting his time between Salt Lake City, Utah and Spokane, Washington. Before that, he worked for Chelan County PUD in Wenatchee, Washington for nine years as a resource analyst and a control systems programmer. A graduate of the University of Idaho, Moscow, Haymaker holds a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering
