PNGC Power Board of Directors Elects Officers
Officers commit to second one-year term while some committee leadership turns
Portland, Oregon - 10/25/2004 - The PNGC Power Board of Directors has elected officers for the 2005 fiscal year. They are: Chairman of the Board, Roger Meader (General Manager, Okanogan County Electric Cooperative, Winthrop, Washington), Vice Chairman, Al Gonzalez (President and Chief Executive Officer, Central Electric Cooperative, Redmond, Oregon) and Secretary/Treasurer, Dee Reynolds (General Manager, Fall River Rural Electric Cooperative, Ashton, Idaho). All were re-elected to the offices they held this past year; terms are for one year.
PNGC Power, based in Portland, is an electric power services cooperative owned by 15 Northwest electric distribution cooperative utilities with service territory in seven western states. PNGC Power provides power supply management to the member-owned utilities. The Board of Directors has 15 members, nominated by each of their respective local boards of directors.
"The board of PNGC Power provides significant direction to this $163 million (in annual revenues) power services cooperative, serving combined electricity loads for nearly 156,000 retail residential and commercial accounts throughout the Northwest," said Pat Reiten, PNGC Power President and Chief Executive Officer. "As a group, this board is remarkably hard working. It's made up of power supply professionals; this is a knowledgeable and active board."
Two of the PNGC Power Board of Directors' four committees also announced leadership changes for the new fiscal year, including the Risk Management Committee and a newly formed Audit Committee. Chairmen - elected positions each requiring a three-year term of office - include: Risk Management, Rick Crinklaw (General Manager, Lane Electric Cooperative, Eugene, Oregon) and Audit, Heber Carpenter (Manager of Finance and Administration, Raft River Rural Electric Cooperative, Malta, Idaho).
The next meeting of the PNGC Power Board of Directors will be November 3, 2004.
