PNGC Power Board of Directors Elects Officers
New officers commit to one-year terms while some committee leadership turns
Portland, OR - 10/12/2005 - The PNGC Power Board of Directors has elected officers for the 2006 fiscal year. They are: Chairman of the Board, Dee Reynolds (General Manager, Fall River Rural Electric Cooperative, Ashton, Idaho), Vice Chairman, Rick Crinklaw (General Manager, Lane Electric Cooperative, Eugene, Oregon) and Secretary/Treasurer, Jon Shelby (General Manager, Northern Lights, Inc. Sagle, Idaho). Terms are for one year.
PNGC Power, based in Portland, is an electric power services cooperative owned by 15 Northwest electric distribution cooperative utilities with service territory in seven western states. PNGC Power provides power supply management to the member-owned utilities. The Board of Directors has 15 members, nominated by each of their respective local boards of directors.
"The Board of PNGC Power provides significant direction to this $163 million (in annual revenues) power services cooperative, serving combined electricity loads for nearly 160,000 retail residential and commercial accounts throughout the Northwest," said Pat Reiten, PNGC Power President and Chief Executive Officer. "As a group, this board is remarkably hard working. It’s made up of power supply professionals; this is a knowledgeable and active board."
One of the PNGC Power Board of Directors’ four committees (elected positions each requiring a three-year term of office) also announced a leadership change for the new fiscal year. The new Risk Management Committee Chair is Richard Reynolds (General Manager, Lost River Electric Cooperative, Mackay, Idaho). Heber Carpenter (Manager of Finance and Administration, Raft River Rural Electric Cooperative, Malta, Idaho) continues as the Audit Committee Chair, in the second year of a three-year term, as does the Regional Economic and Development Committee Chair, Steve Eldrige (General Manager and CEO, Umatilla Electric Cooperative, Hermiston, Oregon).
The next meeting of the PNGC Power Board of Directors will be November 1, 2005.
