PNGC Power Board of Directors Elects Officers New officers commit to one-year term
Portland, OR - 10/20/2009 -

The PNGC Power Board of Directors has elected officers for the 2010 fiscal year, which began October 1.  New officers are:  Chairman of the Board, Steve Eldrige (General Manager and CEO, Umatilla Electric Cooperative, Hermiston, Oregon); Vice Chairman, Ray Ellis (General Manager, Okanogan County Electric Cooperative, Winthrop, Washington); and Secretary/Treasurer, Jon Shelby (General Manager, Northern Lights, Inc. Sagle, Idaho).  Terms are for one year.  

PNGC Power, based in Portland , is an electric generation and transmission (G&T) cooperative owned by 16 Northwest electric distribution cooperative utilities with service territory in seven western states. PNGC provides leadership and power supply options as well as other management services to the member-owned utilities.  The board of directors has 16 members, nominated by each of their respective local community-based boards of directors.

“The Board of PNGC Power provides strategic direction to this $169 million (in annual revenues) generation and transmission (G&T) cooperative, serving combined electricity loads for just over 171,000 retail residential, commercial and irrigation accounts throughout the Northwest,” said John Prescott , PNGC Power President & CEO. 

 The next meeting of the PNGC Power Board of Directors will be November 3, 2009.
