Portland, Oregon – January 16, 2025 – Pacific Northwest Generating Cooperative (PNGC Power), the region’s sole operational generation and transmission cooperative, is excited to announce the appointment of Chris Allen as its new Vice President of Power Supply and Transmission. PNGC Power is the largest preference power customer of the Bonneville Power Administration (BPA), serving over 431,000 meters across seven western states and is experiencing rapid growth. In this pivotal role, Allen will lead the charge in managing and expanding PNGC Power's power supply and transmission capabilities to meet the increasing demand.

Allen brings extensive experience in public power to his new role. Before joining PNGC Power, he held key leadership positions at Northern Wasco County PUD in The Dalles, Oregon, where he managed all commercial and wholesale activities for the district’s power and transmission portfolios. He also served at Cowlitz PUD in Longview, Washington, where he focused on optimizing resources and implementing tactical plans to balance load service obligations while maximizing revenue. Earlier in his career, Allen worked at the Bonneville Power Administration (BPA) on resource interconnections and operations for the Federal Columbia River Power System (FCRPS).
