Portland, Oregon – June 17, 2025 – Pacific Northwest Generating Cooperative (PNGC Power), the region’s only operational generation and transmission (G&T) cooperative, continues to expand its team and deepen its bench of strategic talent to meet the evolving energy needs of its 25 member cooperatives.
“We are charting new territory,” said Jessica Matlock, President and CEO of PNGC Power. “Our members are stepping into a new era of energy independence, and that momentum is attracting some of the best minds in the business.”
PNGC Power welcomes Tim Vigil as its new Chief Member Relations and Strategy Officer, and Kristy Bobish-Thompson as the new Director of Human Resources.
Vigil brings more than 20 years of experience in public power, having held executive roles at Western Area Power Administration (WAPA), Delta-Montrose Electric Association, and most recently as a Director for NextEra Energy. He played a central role in launching the Southwest Power Pool’s Western Energy Imbalance Service and has been deeply involved in RTO expansion, strategic planning, and market design across the Western Interconnection.
Bobish-Thompson is a Human Resources leader with nearly 25 years of experience in the public and private sectors. She has held senior positions with Micron, the Department of Parks and Recreation, Idaho State Police, and most recently served as Operations Bureau Chief for the Idaho Division of Human Resources. Her expertise in workforce development, employee engagement, and organizational strategy will be instrumental in supporting PNGC Power’s continued growth.

PNGC Power is the largest power customer of Bonneville Power Administration (BPA), serving over 431,000 meters across seven western states.
